Restaurant Style Paneer Bhurji
Ingredients
Paneer:- 250 grams (crumbled)
Onion:- 1 large (finely chopped)
Tomato:- 1 large (finely chopped)
Green Bell Pepper:- 1 small (finely chopped, optional)
Green Chilies:- 2 (finely chopped)
Ginger-Garlic Paste:- 1 teaspoon
Turmeric Powder:- 1/2 teaspoon
Red Chili Powder:- 1 teaspoon (adjust to taste)
Coriander Powder:- 1 teaspoon
Garam Masala:- 1/2 teaspoon
Cumin Seeds:- 1/2 teaspoon
Fresh Coriander Leaves:- for garnish
Oil or Ghee:- 2 tablespoons
Salt: to taste
Instructions:- Paneer Bhurji at Home
Heat Oil:- In a pan, heat oil or ghee over medium heat.
Add Cumin Seeds:- Once hot, add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
Sauté Onions:- Add the finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
Add Ginger-Garlic Paste:- Add ginger-garlic paste and green chilies. Sauté for another minute until the raw smell disappears.
Add Tomatoes:- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften. You can also add the bell pepper at this stage if you are using it.
Add Spices:- Sprinkle turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a couple of minutes until the oil starts to separate from the mixture.
Add Crumbled Paneer:- Now add the crumbled paneer. Mix everything gently so that the paneer is well coated with the spices.
Cook:- Cook for another 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally. You can adjust the consistency by adding a splash of water if it’s too dry.
Add Garam Masala:- Finally, sprinkle garam masala and mix well. Cook for an additional minute.
Garnish: Turn off the heat and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serving:- Paneer Bhurji at Home
Serve hot with chapati, paratha, or naan. You can also pair it with rice or serve it as a filling in sandwiches or wraps.
