Veteran actor Smriti Biswas died on July at the age of 100. The actor, best known for her work in Bengali, Hindi and Marathi films, breathed her last at her house in Nashik due to age-related illness.

Smriti Biswas, who started her career as a child artiste, appeared in several films directed by the likes of Guru Dutt, V Shantaram, Mrinal Sen, Bimal Roy, BR Chopra, and Raj Kapoor, among others. In her career spanning 30 years, Biswas shared the screen with notable actors like Dev Anand, Kishore Kumar, and Balraj Sahni.
