Summary: A Letter to God- G.L Fuentes. This whole story about a farmer who has great faith in God.

The story begins with a farmer, named Lencho expecting for a rain shower to nourish his field of corn.

He is confident that his harvest is going to yield him huge profits.

just like it does every fear to his almost excitement, rainfall did happen but very soon it change into a hailstrom and destroying his entire crops-field.

The damage posed a threat to the family’s survival as their whole livelihood was dependent on the year’s produce.

Although disheartened so, Lencho decided to write a letter to God to explaining his situation and asking for 100 pesos as a help.

He went to the town to post his letter by addressed “To God”.

The letter on being noticed by the postmaster. He is tempted to open the letter, read it and reply to the farmer so as to keep his great faith in God.

But upon opening the letter, he realises that this reply would required more then pen and paper. But, since he has resolved to help the farmer. So, he collect money from his employ and also contribute from his salary for an charity.

To his dismay, he could only 70 pesos which he puts in an envelop to makes it to like a reply from the God. Upon receiving the letter with the money inside it, Lencho is not at all surprised, but instead, he gets angry on finding that the amount is less than what he had expected.

He again writes a letter to God conveying his disappointment and distrust in the employees of the post office who, he thought, had stolen his remaining money.
