Draupadi Murmu Elected India’s 15th President – First Tribal Women to Hold The Post in India.
The BJP- NDA’s nominee Draupadi Murmu on Thursday 21.07.2022 became India’s 15th President. She succeeded Ram Nath Kovind and also became the first tribal women leader to hold the top constitutional post in the India. Murmu was pitted against the Opposition’s (TMC) candidate pick Yashwant Sinha, who has now congratulated her on the victory.
