KKR Need 136 runs to win from 120 balls, Venkatesh Iyer and Shubman Gill got their side off to a aggressive start. They stitched an unbeaten half-century opening stand to take KKR to 51/0 by the end of the Powerplay. The duo continued in the same vein, taking KKR to 76/0 in 10 overs. Venkatesh Iyer went on to register his third IPL 50 before being dismissed on 55 by Kagiso Rabada. Gill was dismissed on 44 but KKR looked well on course for the win. However, a late twist followed; Kolkata lost 6 wickets fo 7 runs as DC took the match into the final over. Eventually, Rahul Tripathi smashed a six off Ramchandra Ashwin to take KKR to the final with 2 wickets and 1 ball Left. They will meet CSK in the summit contest on October 15 in Dubai.
KKR vs DC Highlights, Earlier in the day, the Kolkata Knight Riders got off to a good start as they restricted Delhi Capitals to just 38/1 after the first 6 overs. Varun Chakaravarthy dismissed Prithvi Shaw on 18 by trapping him LBW. Then Marcus Stoinis (18) and Shikhar Dhawan (36) put on 39 runs for the second stand before they were dismissed by Shivam Mavi and Chakaravarthy, respectively. DC then reached 92/4 as Rishabh Pant (4) was sent packing by Lockie Ferguson. Varun Charavarthy would have had his third had it not been for a no-ball saving Shimron Hetmyer. Shubman Gill took a brilliant diving catch but it was in pointless. Eventually, a late attack from Shreyas Iyer en route his unbeaten 30 off 27 balls, took Delhi to 135/5 in 20 overs.
