How to Set YouTube Custom URL

Set up a custom URL

  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
  2. From the left Menu, select Customization and then Basic info.
  3. Under Channel URL, click Set a custom URL for your channel
  4. You can choose the suggested custom URL based on your channel name or add extra letters or numbers to make your custom URL unique. 
  5. Click PUBLISH, then Click CONFIRM to confirm your custom URL.

Find your custom URL

  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
  2. From the left Menu, select Customization and then Basic info.
  3. Under custom URL, you can view and copy your custom URL.

Remove custom URL

  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
  2. From the left Menu, select Customization and then Basic info.
  3. Under your current custom URL, click DELETE
  4. Under About, click your custom URL. 
  5. Click Remove, then click Remove again to confirm you want to delete your URL. It may take a few days for the previous URL to deactivate.

Custom URL eligibility

To create a custom URL for your channel, your account needs to:

  • Have 100 or more subscribers.
  • Be at least 30 days old.
  • Have an uploaded profile picture.
  • Have an uploaded banner image.

Note: YouTube reserves the right to change, reclaim, or remove custom URLs at any time. For example, we may reclaim a custom URL that was associated with a deleted Google Account.

For Android Devices

Find your custom URL

Use the YouTube Android app to find your custom URL. 

  1. Tap your profile picture .
  2. Tap Your channel.
  3. From the top menu, tap ABOUT.
  4. Under More info, you can view and copy your custom URL.

For iPhone & iPad

Find your custom URL

Use the YouTube iPhone and iPad app to find your custom URL. 

  1. Tap your profile picture .
  2. Tap Your channel.
