Step 1: Install the app (Click Here) from your Android/iOS mobile phone and sign up with your mobile number.
Step 2: After verifying your number by OTP, the app will check your credit score and notify you if you are eligible for the service.
Step 3: On successful verification, the app will add all credit cards linked to your mobile number. You can add up to 10 credit cards at a time, with the option to add more if required.
Step 4: You have to verify your card details by adding in the masked numbers.
Step 5: CRED will instantly verify your card/cards by depositing Re.1 through IMPS/UPI.
Step 6: After verification, you can pay your credit card bills and earn reward points equal to the bill amount paid.

How CRED Works?

CRED can be accessed only if you have a credit score (CIBIL) of 750 and above. CRED requests access and verifies your current credit score from credit bureaus like Experian, Crif and CIBIL. If you qualify, the app will integrate existing cards to your CRED account. A detailed registration guide is mentioned below:

How do I add a credit card to my CRED app?

How do I add or remove my credit card in the Cred app? Its very simple. Just click on Card tab on the lower side of screen in CRED app and then go to the last tab “manage”. There you’ll find the option to Archive card Click on that option and you’ll see the list of cards you’ve added in CRED. Click here to download CRED.

Do we need credit card for CRED app?

If you do not qualify for entry into the app, you are put on a waitlist. You can also use the CRED App to make payments via debit cards, UPI or CRED Cash balance. When users make payments with the CRED App using their credit cards, the users are rewarded with CRED coins.

Is it safe to give credit card number to CRED?

Yes Safe, But with Cred, rest assured, it is safe. The app is compliant to DSS and fulfills the minimum security and safety requirements to ensure that your credit card information is secure. Cred uses 256-bit encryption, and is verified by the NCPI.

How do I activate my CRED account?

You also have the option to request for an account or card deactivation/archival instead. This will temporarily block your access to CRED App until you send a re-activation request on support@cred.club and successfully re-activate your account.

Is CRED a Chinese app?

Cred is an Indian fintech company, based in Bangalore. Founded in 2018 by Kunal Shah, it is a reward-based credit card payments app.

Is CRED app approved by RBI?

Yes, CRED App operates in compliance with NPCI (National Payments Corporation of India) guidelines. NPCI is a payment system operator authorized by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).

How do I verify my card on CRED?

Does CRED charge any fees?

CRED charges a 1.5% fee for letting you pay rent using credit cards. If you own a premium credit card, the net reward rate, after the CRED fees, will usually be positive.
