One person familiar with Nancy Pelosi’s itinerary for Taiwan said that most of her planned meetings, including with President Tsai Ing-wen, were scheduled for Wednesday 06 August 2022.

US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi was expected to arrive in Taipei later on Tuesday, people briefed on the matter said, as the United States said it would not be intimidated by Chinese “sabre rattling” over the visit.
China has warned that it will retaliate if any American official were to visit Taiwan Taipei, as it sees the move as a change in US foreign policy. If Mrs Nancy Pelosi does visit, she will become the highest ranking elected official to go to the island nation since 1997.
Washington [US], August 2 (ANI): US National Security Council coordinator John Kirby on Monday said that US Speaker Nancy Pelosi has not confirmed her travel plans to Taiwan yet but she has the right to visit Taiwan and that her visit is not ‘uncommon’.
