Bhediya is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language supernatural comedy horror movie. The movie was directed by Amar Kaushik. Produced by Dinesh Vijan from a story and screenplay by Niren Bhatt. Varun Dhawan is in lead role Kriti Sanan, Abhishek Banerjee, Deepak Dobriyal and Paalin Kobak are in supporting role.

The plot of the movie is inspired by Arunachal Pradesh’s legend of a shape-shifting werewolf. Who wants to protect the jungle, even if he or she has to kill somebody. It is the second installment in the Maddock Supernatural Universe.

It was released in theaters on 25 November 2022 to mixed-to-positive reviews and received praise for its visual effects, screenplay, direction, humor and performances.

About Awards of the movie :

It received 13 nominations at the 68th Filmfare Awards, including Best Film (Critics), Best Actor (Critics) and Best Special Effects. A sequel is in development.

Story of this movie :

Bhaskar gets a road building contract from a infrastructure company where he has to travel to Guwahati he decides to take his cousin Janardan along and is also accompanied by his local friend Joe. Bhaskar meets a local Mr. Panda who believes his project is quite impossible as to build a road between jungle will hamper nature as well as lives of tribal but some corrupt government officials are along with him.

One night while Bhaskar, Janardan and Joe are travelling their car breaks in jungle where Bhaskar is traced by a Wolf. Before he his rescued gets bitten by the Wolf on his butt where Joe decides him to take to a Vet Anika as going to a hospital will create havoc in the region. After the incident Bhaskar’s behavior changes while also feels change in his internal body where Janardan and suspects he is turned into a Were Wolf but Joe and Anika ignore it.

The next day a local youth leaders is attacked who favored Bhaskar and forged papers to get land of people. After the attack the tribal believe that its an animal attack and that Vishnu is back. Jana and Joe find that there is presence of animal substances in blood reports of Bhaskar and decide to check on him until they face the horror that Bhaskar indeed turns into a Were Wolf at night.
