Bajaj Pulsar N160
Bajaj has launched a new variant of the Bajaj Pulsar N160 and the bike now comes with an inverted fork and also a bunch of new features. The Bajaj Pulsar N160 is a 160cc naked bike and is the third model based on the all-new platform after the Bajaj Pulsar N250 and Bajaj Pulsar F250.
The base variant of the Bajaj Pulsar N160 is priced at Rs 1,32,525, whereas the top end variant with the inverted fork, turn-by-turn navigation and ABS modes costs Rs 1,39,693 ( both ex-showroom Delhi). Both the variants are available in three colour choices: Brooklyn Black, Racing Red, and Caribbean Blue.
The Bajaj Pulsar N160 gets a BS6.2-compliant 164.82cc air-/oil-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 16PS at 8750rpm and 14.65Nm at 6750rpm. It is paired with a 5-speed transmission.
The Bajaj Pulsar N160 has a 14-litre fuel tank and it delivered a real-world mileage of 59.11kmpl in the city and 44.38kmpl on the highway in our tests.
The base Bajaj Pulsar N160 gets an inverted fork and a monoshock. For braking, there is a 300mm disc at the front and a 280mm disc at the rear. The dual-channel ABS ensures more safety by preventing the wheels from locking up during hard braking. It was the first in its segment to get dual-channel ABS. The Pulsar N160 has 17-inch alloys with 100-section front and 130-section rear tubeless tyres. The bike gets a ground clearance of 165mm, while the seat height is 795mm, which is quite approachable for riders of different heights.
The Bajaj Pulsar N160 is now equipped with many modern-day features. It comes with an LED projector headlight, LED DRLs, and an LCD instrument cluster that shows the regular set of information along with a clock, gear position indicator, mileage, and range indicator. It also gets smartphone connectivity via the Bajaj Ride Connect app, which displays call and SMS alerts along with phone battery and signal indicator. The digital display also has a warning message section at the bottom that includes details like mileage error messages and low fuel warnings. Other notable features include a USB charging port and updated left-side switchgear controls.
