Bad Newz box office collection day 1: The Anand Tiwari-directed film had a decent opening in theatres across India. As per Sacnilk.com, the film earned nearly ₹9 crore on Friday. Bad Newz is co-produced by Anand, Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Amritpal Singh Bindra.

That means the Bad Boys franchise is now worth over a billion dollars, with all four films in the series combining to generate $1.2 billion worldwide to date. A Bad Boys 5 release date is almost a certainty at this point.

The film hit theatres on June 7 and became the first movie to jolt Hollywood’s summer box office, grossing $106 million at the global box office from a $100 million production budget. To date, the movie has made $227 million worldwide, bringing the “Bad Boys” franchise’s box office above $1 billion globally.

According to the report, Bad Newz earned around ₹8.50 crore net in India on the first day, as per early estimates. Bad Newz had an overall 22.83% Hindi occupancy on Friday.
